PesaPulse started as a simple idea — that a smartphone and an internet bundle should be enough to earn a living in Kenya. Today we connect thousands of Kenyans to real online gigs, paid free and direct via M-Pesa.
Wanjiru Kamau founded PesaPulse in 2021 after nearly a decade working across Kenya's fintech and mobile money industry, including senior roles building digital payment products used by millions of M-Pesa customers. She saw first-hand how mobile money had transformed how Kenyans move cash — but noticed a gap: there was no simple, trustworthy way for everyday Kenyans to earn extra income online and get paid the same way they already banked, through M-Pesa.
With a background in mobile financial systems, product design, and micro-work platforms across East Africa, Wanjiru built PesaPulse around three principles: no gatekeeping (no CV, no laptop, no experience required), instant trust (money paid the moment it's earned), and real opportunity (legitimate gigs from real partner businesses, not empty promises).
Under her leadership, PesaPulse has grown from a small Nairobi pilot to a platform used by over 128,400 Kenyans nationwide, with more than KSh 41.2M paid out directly to M-Pesa wallets — and it remains, and will always be, free to join.
No CV, no laptop, no interview. If you can use WhatsApp, you can start earning on PesaPulse today.
Every shilling you earn is payable straight to M-Pesa the moment your gig is approved — no waiting weeks, no fees to join.
Every gig comes from a verified partner business. No pyramid schemes, no fake surveys — just real, paid work.
Wanjiru built PesaPulse's gig system around real Kenyan schedules — students between classes, parents managing a household, job-seekers between interviews. There are no fixed shifts and no minimum hours. Pick up a gig on your lunch break, in the evening, or at 2am — whenever suits you.
